Grilled Burgers with Baked Cheese & Jalapeno

It’s Summer! For us, when it comes to Summer and food, we think of grilling and BBQ. It is perfect timing when Josh’s Weber Genesis II LX S-340 Liquid Propane Grill arrived and he has been a happy camper with it to kick off Summer in our new home. One of the first things Josh grilled were some burgers. Josh grilled the burgers and I prepped the garnishes and toppings for the burger.

Prep and Cook Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

  • 4 1/4lb burger patties

  • Weber Seasoning, Gourmet Burger

  • Olive Oil

  • 4 tsp softened butter

  • Lettuce

  • Bacon slices, cooked

  • 4 slices Gouda cheese

  • 4 slices Colby Jack cheese

  • Red Onion & Habanero pickling

  • 2 jalapeño peppers, thinly sliced

  • >4 Tbsp mayonnaise

  • 3 Tbsp ketchup

  • 2 Tbsp Mustard

  • 2 tsp pickle salt

  • Guacamole

  • 4 brioche burger buns


  1. Pre-heat grill on medium heat and pre-heat the oven at 350 degrees. While grill is pre-heating, drizzle olive oil on both sides of the burger and season with the Weber Seasoning or seasoning of your choice. Once grill is heated, place patties on grill and let grill for 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on the meat doneness you like.

  2. While burger patties are on the grill, make the burger sauce by combining the mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard. Place sauce back in the fridge to keep it cold.

  3. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet. Take slices of cheese and place on baking sheet. On each slice of cheese, place 4 jalapeño peppers. Put cheese in oven to bake for 5 minutes.

  4. Once patties are done, take off the grill and on each patty drop a tsp of softened butter in the center. Let the butter melt while the burger patties set.

  5. >To assemble the burgers, on the top bun, spread about a Tbsp of the sauce, sprinkle some pickle salt, add a piece of lettuce, dollop of guacamole in the center and bacon slices. On the bottom bun, place the burger patty, slice of Gouda cheese and slice of Colby Jack cheese, some red onion & habanero pickling,
